In March 2026, GOTS Version 8.0 was officially published and will become applicable from March 2027, replacing GOTS Version 7.0.

While the overall structure of the standard remains largely unchanged, GOTS 8.0 introduces a considerable number of new, expanded and clarified criteria across environmental, social and governance topics. Especially the requirements regarding due diligence, environmental and chemical management, greenhouse gas emissions, packaging, documentation and social compliance have been significantly extended.

Many certified entities will therefore need to review and adapt existing management systems, internal processes and documentation procedures well before the transition deadline in March 2027.

This online seminar provides a practical and audit-relevant overview of the most important updates introduced with GOTS 8.0 and their implications for certified entities and operational processes.

Katharina Schaus, internationally recognised GOTS Approved Consultant and sustainability expert with almost 30 years of experience in certification and textile standards, will guide participants through the key updates introduced with GOTS 8.0 and share practical insights from certification and implementation projects.

Special attention will be given to the expanded Due Diligence Management Process, the new Environmental and Chemical Management Criteria, greenhouse gas emission management, packaging requirements and strengthened human rights and social criteria.

Booking conditions

Cancellation is not possible after registration. Participation fees already paid cannot be refunded. However, tickets may be transferred to another person within the same company.
