On behalf of the BMVEL (today BMEL), an expert opinion on ecological quality labels and a complete catalogue of criteria for selected ecological standards was prepared. This comprehensive comparison and evaluation of national and international ecological textile labels served as the basis for the decision to develop a new state organic textile label.
